Heaven's Lessons by Steve Sjogren

This book is about a man who went in for a simple procedure and "died" on the operating table. Steve happened to be a very unlucky man, it is rare, but only one in every thirty thousand are born without a gallbladder. So perhaps the biggest reason his surgery had such complications were because the doctors were laparscopically trying to remove something he didn't even have to begin with.

Steve was pronounced dead for one hour and fifteen minutes. He says he saw himself floating above his body and watching the doctors work on him in the OR. Steve notes that he awoke with people in a circle around him, people he never knew, who died in that hospital in years before. He never saw God but heard His voice which sounded like a mixture of men's, women's and children's voices all mixed together.

This was not the first book I have read about near death experiences and I would not see it as one of the best books I have read on this subject. I preferred Todd Burpo in "Heaven Changes Everything". I was very turned off in the beginning where he talked about his time as extracting demons for others who were "lost."  I honestly almost did not finish reading this book.

I received this book free through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers program.  The opinions I have expressed are my own.
